Gymshark built a fitness-apparel brand largely on direct-to-consumer marketing, and as shopping questions move from search engines to AI assistants, the brand's own site needs to be the source an agent actually reaches, not a third-party listing that may be out of date or wrong on price.
This is a partial report: the scanner was blocked by bot protection before it could evaluate several checks. What is notable is what already passes: agents.md, llms.txt, and llms-full.txt are all reachable and readable as markdown, robots.txt does not block AI crawlers, a sitemap is reachable, and HTTPS redirects cleanly. That set of passes traces to the Shopify platform, which ships those files by default on stores that haven't opted out, not to a bespoke decision by Gymshark. The catch is that the homepage itself returned a bot-challenge page to the scanner, the same block a real AI agent would hit trying to browse. Because of that, four more checks, structured data, meta tags, content negotiation, and readability, could not even be evaluated.
Having the Shopify defaults is a real head start over a hand-built retail site with none of them. But a head start that gets neutralized at the front door by bot protection still leaves agents unable to get in.

- No .well-known/verified.md, so nothing lets an agent confirm this is genuinely Gymshark rather than an impersonator.
- No sign of payment support for agent checkout, so an agent that can pay has no way to pay Gymshark directly.
- Structured data, meta tags, content negotiation, and readability could not be evaluated at all, because the bot challenge blocked the scanner before it reached the page.
